Waterman CF — Can’t Get Ink Flowing, Any Tips?

Hi all,

Just picked up this Waterman CF and I’m having trouble getting it to write. The pen looks to be in decent shape, but I cannot get really any ink flowing at all.

I used a syringe to inject some black Waterman ink into the cartridge, put the cartridge back in, and dipped the tip of the nib in the Waterman ink – but it barely writes if at all. I can squeeze on the cartridge and get ink out – so I don’t think it’s fully clogged.

Has anyone dealt with this before on a CF? I’m wondering if the feed is clogged or dried out, or if there’s something about the cartridge/section seal I’m missing. Any suggestions would be appreciated — I’d love to get this one writing.
